Farewell to Bern

The University of Bern’s 16th Friedrich Dürrenmatt Visiting Professor, Palestinian writer Adania Shibli, reflects on playful ways of learning and sharing knowledge that are not limited to institutional and academic settings, explored in her course "Failing, Falling, Fleeing." Shibli draws the inspiration to these explorations from literary and visual art works, including some created by Palestinian artists who adopt playing and cunning methods for countering power.
