David Wagner, born in 1971, published his debut novel Meine nachtblaue Hose (My Midnight Blue Trousers) in 2000. His novel Vier Äpfel (English: Four Apples) was longlisted for the German Book Prize in 2009. The author is the recipient of numerous prizes, such as the Walter Serner Prize, the Dedalus Prize for New Literature and the Georg K. Glaser Prizer. In 2013, David Wagner received the Prize of the Book Fair in Leipzig for his novel Leben (English: Life). David Wagner lives in Berlin.
